We’ve launched into a wild and crazy 2021, but we can all look back and grasp (or gasp) at the lessons learned, the fears and struggles overcome, and the positive impact we have and still can make on others. We can move forward in one of three ways:

  • Dwell on the past
  • Live in the moment
  • Look forward to the future

We can’t erase the past, nor why would we want to? History has its place in each of our lives – good and bad. Dwelling on the past¬†often means you are reading the same book over and over again with an ending that never changes. It’s often one of the biggest roadblocks we have to keep us from moving forward, from being happy. But the past is part of who we are today. Embrace yourself, it’s just part of your journey.

Mindfulness…living in the moment. Not looking back, but not dreaming for a future. It’s not good, it’s not bad. It simply means you cherish every moment, every breath, every adven-tour, every challenge, and every result… every single day. This very moment is the only moment you will ever control. Stay focused and enjoy the ride.

What will the future hold? Who knows. Maybe you resolve to be happy and successful; maybe you want a more excitement; maybe even a little less chaos. Are you content with the status quo, or do you fear the unknown roads ahead. Looking towards the horizon can bring good things, but you never know what the future holds. Embrace. Breathe. Carry on proudly.

So again we ask, who are you today? Maybe a well-balanced you is a combination of all three!
